By Sonqoba Kunene SEBOKENG. - The residents of Zone 13 are still recovering from a shockwave that hit the area after the walls of a nearby abandoned building (pictured) caved in, killing one man and injuring four others. According to eyewitnesses, Meshack Tsotetsi and his four friends had just started demolishing the building with the purpose of finding reusable bricks when the incident occurred. The five men sustained serious injuries. Four of them were rushed to the nearest hospital for urgent medical attention, leaving Tsotetsi's body lying topless in the freezing weather as his father and other relatives looked on in disbelief. Lebello Tsotetsi, the father, says that his son was epileptic and had been struggling to make ends meet after his disability grant was stopped three years ago. "My son is dead. It is as simple as that and there is nothing more I can do for him now," says Lebello, who adds that he suspects that someone had hired his son and the others to get the bricks from the dilapidated building. Unconfirmed reports are that one of Tsotetsi's friends who was rushed to hospital also died, bringing the death toll to two. Superintendent Maria Mazibuko has also confirmed the incident.
